Look, I’m no more a fan of New Jersey governor Chris Christie than anyone else who’s not a card-carrying member of the right-wing, but can we lay off the fat jokes? Seriously?

They’re not funny, they feed into society’s nonsense about body image, and — frankly — it makes us look just as petty and immature as the Tea Partiers and those who believe our President is a Kenyan Muslim Socialist.

Take issue with Gov. Christie’s words and actions, not his body type.
