The Only Thing I’ll Say Right Now Regarding the IRS/Tea Party Thing…
Come on, Tea Partiers: when a prominent part of your “platform” (if it can really be called that) is a foaming-at-the-mouth hatred for anything even remotely related to taxes, you can’t really act shocked and indignant when the government agency responsible for collecting taxes and administering tax law scrutinizes your organizations a little more than some others. Your dogmatic, vocal opposition to taxes might leave some to believe that you’d be willing to…I dunno…not pay them.
Besides, y’all didn’t say word one when the Bush administration was using the IRS (among other federal agencies) to investigate their “political enemies,” so if nothing else, you’re being extremely hypocritical.
Don’t worry, I’ll give you a few minutes to look up the meaning of “hypocritical.”

I do not care if this is from a work of fiction. It is ingrained with more truth than I’ve seen in the vast majority of the mainstream, broadcast media over the last two years. This message needs to be delivered, loudly, repeatedly, on every available platform (yes, even Fox News), until it finally sinks in to the citizens of this country just how extreme, radical, and dangerous today’s “Republican Party” really is.
The next time someone calls The Newsroom too preachy or pretentious, the next time someone complains that this show lectures to them, ask yourself … maybe the show offends them because it’s right.

To anyone who would make college more expensive and make it harder for senior citizens to afford health care, I have just one thing to say:
FUCK YOU.
